next time you pass across the basin on the interstate - the rest stop at Butte la Rose has hard copies of that file that they will give you

I already had a copy of that saved on my computer. Another interesting publication on the Corps of Engineers site is this one of Historic Names and Places on the Lower Mississippi River. http://www.mvn.usace.army.mil/PAO/history/MRnames/MissRiverNames.htm

Thank's seedtick and Jimmy W. If we would have had history lessons like this when I was in school I may would have paid attention. Maybe they did while I wasn't paying attention. I don't know, but interesting reading.
