i have a Winchecter m100 .308 i use it for deer hunting in maine, It is usually personal preference/Distance that you will be hunting, But i use the Simmons Whitetail classic 2-10x44. It works for thick brush, Fields, Really anywhere you need it, it does its job.- petterchan
