    What lumber to make stem?

    Hello Getherdone, I bought the UJ kit so i'm not familar with the construction of the stems, but the stems in the kit measure aprox. 1 1/2 " x 2 5/8 " largest dim. at the end. I hope this helps... Brgds, Ron

    Hairy Pirogue allmost done

    First of all great job hairy, I was wondering if anyone has tried to create an assymetrical profile from an Uncle John's kit. I was thinking moving the ribs back several inches might work. Any pro's con's... Thanks, Ron Smith
