Actually, they are...the real world of sleazy lawyers and stupid litigation. For "amateur built" plans, CYA is the best way to go. Glen-L has been around a long, long, time.

I started with the UJ plans and rib/stem kit. Easy, forgiving, a bit challenging, and fun. Made some mistakes, but adapted and thinkered...ready for another build, now.

Just to clear (or muddy :twisted: ) the issue, plywood is a composite. It's just that plywood has become so common as "wood" that we forget and generally refer to "composites" such things as fibreglass, chemical synthetics, etc.

Yup. When building, we always tried to leave our materials on site at least several days, unstacked and very loosely tarped to let it acclimate, unless the stuff came locally.
We got one stack of spruce rafters delivered on while we weren't there, came from outta town. The guy just slid 'em off...
