    Cotton Pickin'

No cotton down this way but oranges were my nemisis. One day of that and I'd had enough. A 4X4X4 bin paid 5 bucks ( I think) Took me most of the day to fill one while the mexican family, next row over knocked em out 5 times as fast. Send the kids up the tree to shake the oranges off and momma...

How Much Did Your UJ Cost?

I'm guessing I had between 3 and 4 hundred in my UJ. Used marine ply though so that ran the cost up. Got a picture around here somewhere.....

    Suwannee River - March 09

Right now you would float right over Big Shoals and not even know it :-) I agree that the further upriver you get, the better the trip is. Griffis fish camp to Fargo is incredible. Fargo to route six is very very nice. Rt 6 down to white springs is very good. Below white springs you start...

    Workbench

My last build I used 3 sets of 3 cinder blocks stacked up with a 16'X2' pressboard top. Ran 2"X4"'s along the sides to stiffen it all up. Worked pretty good. Somewhere around here I've got pictures of it. Will have to dig them up.

    Boat Control

Might try small anchors at both ends but take care in a current with the pirogue. Another thing to try is to kind of "plan" the area you intend to fish and then set yourself up to drift thru the area, using the wind to your advantage rather than fight it. Good luck!

Micks post got me to thinking and I got to digging out in the shed this morning. Knew I had an old one around here somewhere..... Its an old SVEA 123. I think I picked it up at a yard sale sometime a while back( years ago) and used it a couple of times. This little thing is pretty cool! :-)...

    Trangia Stove

The K.I.S.S. is what I like so much about this little rig. It all fits together. It works. Then it all goes back together until next use.... Then the next time it comes out, it works again, and so on and so forth.... No muss no fuss. Just simple and it works... Did I say it works?

    Trangia Stove

Mentioned in my last trip report that I needed to write up this stove and a rainy monday afternoon seemed like the right time to do just that. My better half. Erica had been wanting to buy one of these stoves for a long while and she made a trip to Sweden for her sons wedding this past summer...
