We got out for a few hours Sunday afternoon, glassy smooth, Mullet jumping everywhere, lots of birds working,(the white Pelicans are here for the winter), saw a few small sharks cruisin' the flats. Took some great photos of both boats in action. Checked out the various trim levels on the skiff...

Hello fellas, thanks for the replies. The transom angle came about after an internet search. I can't remember exactly where, but as Chuck said, 12 to 13 degrees was quoted as the standard for outboard transoms.

getting ready for paint

Did some re-modifications on the boy's pirogue. Cut the stern off and put in a small transom. I made it right at thirteen degrees, so we can put a electric trolling motor on it if we decide to go that way. An added plus is it nests real nice in my Bayou "lite" skiff. We are getting them...

Wetting out the hull really lights up that boat. Looking really good so far. Water test results can't be far off!

Except the Wavy -Wavy thing called the Mirage Drive is $480.00, but it does require a hole in the boat.
