    Good luck with whatever you build. I am in the process of building a 15'6" X 26" Uncle Johns Pirogue. May many fishes find passage in your boat. Let's update that width. She is going to be about 30" wide at the water line.

    Just a thought if you check this post again. Have you considered a Skiff or a Dory for good stability while fly fishing??? They will handle much larger chop as well.

    I am building a UJ. You know you can always rig up some inexpensive outriggers just for stability. Bamboo and caped PVC lashed together. Southern enginering you know.

    Love the the boat including the color. I am in the process of building my first UJ but I will have to admit that I think I am already hooked on this boat building thing for life. Project #2 will be a Yost. Again I Love the SOFP...
