    a paper ( no joke ) pirogue

Ok, Ok... so I have been wrong before.....LOL. But you have to admit.... Taking thin layers of wood with glue to make a great building material was a stretch in the 40's too.

    a paper ( no joke ) pirogue

You guys missed the TPG is like plywood and the epoxy, glass and the rest is the same we use to make a plywood canoe. To make fun of this material is no better than making fun of plywood instead of lumber for a boat.

    Glass time, outgassing

Hmmm, more things I never heard about... do you have to glass only on a new moon or is full better? I tried swinging a cat over my head first but all that did was I got a lot of scratches.

    the BS challange....

A drunken Eskimo was wondering around the beach and saw all of the terns sitting on eggs. The terns were doing nothing but sitting... The Eskimo (being a nice guy) realized the terns, in his drunken state, were bored to tears. So being the nice guy he was, began to pour whiskey down the poor...

    the BS challange....

There used to be soooo many terns that when there was a mayfly hatch that they ate them all. The trout were starving so the trout unlimited people told every fisherperson to stone the terns! The actual quote was to " Leave No Tern Unstoned!!!" and it was so.

    you all should be proud!!

Well, I have run out of epoxy trying to make-up for the creases in the glass and have sanded, primed, and put on my first color coat. I love my boat!... all the flaws and all the problems, I love my boat. I will be putting the second coat on tomorrow and starting the gunnel paint also. I know...

It was a tight weave and I think thats what I said, they lifted.

    creases in cloth

I thought mine would go away when wetted too, but they raised back up by the time the epoxy hardened. I even rechecked the glass in 30 minutes and an hour but when I checked 4 hours later the glass raised in the old creases.... maybe I did something wrong.

    creases in cloth

If I had known the trick of laying the cloth out for a few days to relax maybe my piroque would not have all those funny(haha, not) lines on it.

    creases in cloth

Yeah, I even talked with Larry when I ordered the glass and epoxy but I didn't know they were not supposed to fold the cloth. Well, I just consider this a learning experience... too late anyhow.

    creases in cloth

Hmm, The glass I got from Raka was folded just like you said. I didn't think anything about it until I glassed my boat and all of the creases lifted, I thought I didn't know what I was doing until I read this. I didn't know fiberglass wasn't supposed to be folded and every fold I had ended up...
