    Not sure about how all of you feel

    The cheap 0 deg. walmart bag I have doesn't keep my feet warm in 40 deg weather....Down in Sedona Az. for 3 weeks in May a couple of yrs ago.. sleeping in a tent or a tipi...Had a foam pad to sleep on and a second sleeping bag to throw over me...

    It is about ready for the skin... For a tandem I would think the front seat would go between the 3rd and 4th frame from the bow, and the back seat between the last 2 frames that would give about 4 feet between seats..... The gunwales seem rather ridged , I wonder if I should install a thwart.

    The clearance between the frame and skin is to keep it from catching on stuff if you were to run up on submerged timber or rocks etc..that would push up on the fabric and bump into the frame... I don't know how they finish out...either nylon or pollyester... I know the nylon is tough...

    The frames are made from baltic birch..And they are scalloped back to give space between the skin and frame..

    The bow and stern stem pcs. are notched out to receive the keel and upper deck stringers ..so the shock would be absorbed into the front frame and the keel...

    Another Brazos Blast

    Great pics. as usual for you 2 guys... On the day trips I have taken I always like to paddle up stream and fish along the way so by the end of the day and being tired the float back is easier.. Darrel.. with such small minnows for bait did you just load you're hook up with em?

    Yea that is what I will do..using 8' cedar 2x4s scarfed together for the stringers does set a length limit... Figuring out how to position the gunwale stringer took some time..I will use an 1 1/2'' pc. and fold the fabric over to the inside and stapel it..then screw on an inside trim pc. to...
