    A Plank Pirogue

Wow! That's an interesting story. I lived in Japan a couple of times, almost 7 years. I missed the town of Satsuma and its Mandarin oranges. Oranges satisfy both hunger and thirst. And, they come in their own disposable container.

And, when Amelia did cross the Atlantic, it was as a passenger, not as a pilot. Much to her anger. And, neither did I ever fly the Ruptured Duck across that pond. Never even got her close.

Tales from the Log of the Ruptured Duck

Well, I look at it like this: a town trail is is somewhere you go to ride. And with long trails, you ride .to go somewhere. In both cases, with luck and skill, I'll cheat Death again.

Tales from the Log of the Ruptured Duck

BIKE TRAILS COME IN ALL SIZES Lovingly, I plot out long trails. I mark parking spots, land marks, ice cream parlors, good eats, and points of interest, etc. For now - long trails are those measured in double digits, often requiring more than one day or one trip to cover. These usually travel...

ABORT EARLY - Avoid The Rush We'd planned a ride today, but high winds changed our minds. 15-25 mph, with higher gusts. AARRGGHH!! So, on Friday we'll meet at the coffeeshop that is near the middle of a (reportedly) 3.7 mile trail. The deli is next door to the coffeeshop. With the ice cream...
