We are getting old. We now have "great, great" nephews and nieces. I built these simple chairs for them.

Another plank pirogue build. This builder even has an innovated solution for moving the heavy boat.

24 hour build = possible, but probably not. Similar advertisement as "build it in a weekend", or a "12 hour canoe". I think the designers main goal was for a simple to build, and inexpensive boat for first time builders. Looks like a win to me.

More hindsight. 3/4" fasteners are too long for a 5/8" chine log with 5mm plywood. No room to set the fastener below the surface of the plywood. The nails or screw points will come through. Use shorter fasteners or at least a 3/4" log. Hillman makes a 5/8" exterior screw that would work...
