Pop Quiz for ya.
If I have a sheet of Okoume A/B plywood and it meets the BS1088 standard, is there anyway to tell which is the "A" side? Is the side with the "BS1088 Lloyds Approved" stamped along the side and usually a MFG sticker the "B" side? Or would that be the "A" side? What if I have a cut-off piece that doesn't have any markings?
Just from looking at some of my scraps, one side seems to have a "rougher" grain to it, I would guess that would be the "B" side as the other side has a more "finished" look.
I know the logical answer is what ever side looks best is the "A" side, and it doesn't matter which side is out from a building point, just from a cosmetic point.
just wondering..DM
