Took 5 days off for christmas and managed to make it out 3 of the 5 days. Not to bad! :D
Started out fishing estero bay on Friday. Saw dolphins chasing the fish I was trying to put in my cooler. 8)

Came across a few Roseatted spoonbills and got this one to cooperate

Spent a bunch of time up on the back seat poling thru skinny skinny water looking for redfish

Finally found one! LOOKING AT ME!

Ok, ok, Heres the beast getting ready for dinner :)

Managed to get back out to the same area on Christmas eve in hopes of another redfish. Popped one off in the first ten minutes of fishing but managed to pole in between a bunch of high dollar go fast boats that couldn't follow me into two inches of water and found a pothole with a foot or so of water in it and started catching snook. Only remembered to take pictures of one but they were all the same size so use your imagination :)

Christmas morning we got up and headed to the glades in hopes of watching the sunrise. Well, clouds and fog kinda put a damper on those plans but we still had a good time.
Didn't even bring the camera out until after 10 am but managed a few shots worth keeping

Heya Swamprat, MERRY CHRISTMAS !! :D

Great piccies mate. thank you for sharing. :D

Man, that looks a lot like here. 8)

I notice some piccies were taken from a canadian canoe and the others from a SOT. As Jack would say "splain yourself Lucy."

BTW fine fish mate and I loved the shots of the gator and orchids. Brilliant.

Thanks guys,
Jack, you take the picture very very carefully! :) Fish dangling from one hand while 400 dollars worth of camera dangles from the other!

Mick, The big old fiberglass canoe is what I fish out of when I expect wind or waves or allot of boat traffic. It has a square stern and I put a 30# thrust electric trolling motor on the back and just go to town. It paddles like a barge but with the trolling motor and a push pole, I can go about anywhere.

The sit on top is currently sitting at the house undergoing "renovation" It was just a handy place to set the fish before cleaning.
xplained enough?? :)
