Yesterday I took the love of my life back ta the brain doctor. Well, he looked inside ta see if that busted artery wuz doin' okay. The first two times he looked round, it wuz not good 'n he done more surgery. This time I got smart....tole that doctor I mite give him $10 if he come up with some good news fer a change. That iz how it works up at the Shade Tree Medikle Clinic. So far I never seen a doctor who didnt like a little cold cash in hiz palm.

This time he sez it all looked good, jest come back in 6 months. Now Miz Bear kin git ta work packin' gear fer North Carolina. When we git back I will give her the keys ta the mower. Dont ya'll jest love the way money talks? [chuckle]

Bear,
That is great news. Since ya won't have to be watching her so close you might have time to come on down this way and share some stupid pills. :( Danged jaw swole up again. Just took one so that I could stand to eat something after a while.
Tell Miz Bear I said congratulations to her. That's great.

Hey, Bill, glad to hear she got the good report. . . how she comin' with the vertigo? Still a problem? Anyway, she still in my prayers, my friend. . .always. . .

Steve , my bet is that she still has the vertigo. He makes all of us dizzy at times , trying to figure out what he is saying. Just think , Karen's with him 24 / seven ,( except when we can get him to go on a paddling/camping trip) one of us should of warned that Doc to take a $100.00.

Bear...

All joking aside , Thanks for the good news , it is always welcome. Give Karen a big hug for all of us , we are always thinking of her. :D

Chuck,
Just read your post and something just felt wrong with it. I reread Bears post then reread your post. The mistake (if it was unintentional) was blatent. When have you ever heard of a Southern Lawyer willinging giving up a $100 dollar bill.

That was the whole jest of it , figured there was enough Southern Lawyer left in Ole Bear to get a rise out of him , if he starts shuddering after he reads it ( I sure hope it does not render him speechless) then we know he is the same person all of us like.

Dang rite. I tole her ta git ta loadin' up gear 'n cookin' up some bacon fer the Carolina expedition. Ya know how I like breakfast...the sunrise special kind. [grin] Today I drove her (still got a Morgan Freeman "Drivin' Miz Daisey" stylish hat) ta the postal office so she kin mail a care package ta Iraq. With me drivin', we are travelin' son of a guns. [chuckle]

ps We thank all of ya'll fer the kind words 'n thoughts, but we gotta go back in six months. I gotta have some more dough, cuz ya'll know how it iz with doctors. Send yer $10 bills.....I reckon I kin take the pay pal money, but I dearly love pichurs of dead presidents. Ole Andy Jackson iz one of my favorites....but jest do like the Red Cross 'n the Jerry Lewis marchin' dimes...send az much az ya kin. Remember that time God tole Ole Garner Ted Armstrong if he didnt come up with a million fer a new church he wuz bound ta zap him straight up ta heaven? Well, it aint like that, but then it dont hurt ta be careful. [grin]

Br'r Bear,

I'm pleased to hear that Mz Karen is better. Even though that dooms her to being around you some more, it is a small price to pay. About the vertigo, take her to an ENT specialist. My vertigo turned out to have nothing to do with fluid in an inner ear as first suspected. Calcium carbonate crystals had broken loose and were floating around. The doc got them to go to a neutral corner in some empty space inside my head. I figure that I have lots more capacity for many more episodes of crystals to be tucked away in various corners, nooks, crannies, and sideboards. Point is, it may take a specialist to discover the cause and fix for her.
