I've been working on the protoype of our Greenland Style kayak and thought I'd share a couple of pics.

Also, I wanted to clue you guys into our free kayak paddle giveaway on the Black Dog Kayaks website.

The particulars are 18 feet long, 22 inches wide and around 30 pounds.

Jack, yes, the plywood frames stay in as it's a fuselage style assembly. In fact, the first one that we built, the Albatross 14, is named after the old World War I German fighter plane of the same name, because, sitting in the cockpit we were reminded of the old timey aeroplanes.

We got into that style of building through good old Canvasback, and have found that this style is readily adaptable to our designs and makes for a kayak that's very easy to construct, and is very durable.
