How I set the rocker on a 3 panel boat

It is really pretty simple to do on a three panel.


Cut your bottom to the shape you want, set it on a flat surface , then start playing by setting blocks under the bottom, example if I want 2 inches of rocker in the rear and three in the front
cut blocks and set under these points, then add blocks to shape the rest of the hull like you want it.
Now decide on the flair you want ,cut a brace that will hold that angle with the bottom inside the same measurement as your bottom at the widest point ,also set this brace in the sides the same way. it needs to be cut so you have at least 5/16 inch of room from the bottom edge.
Now set it on the bottom ,it will set outside , clamp the ends and then get you a pencil line drawn for your cut.

It is a little harder to do with a v bottom but the same principles apply
