For you southern folks.........
A good supper tonight. Kielbasi and Cabbage with Hash Browns. Some comfort food since it is a rainy night down here , YEP... RAIN... I love it.
Using a old fashion deep dish cast iron pan , the Kielbasi was cut into chunks and cooked in the iron pan , then the sliced up cabbage was put in there.
A little white wine for liquid and the top placed on it.... Slow cooked and tossed several times during the cooking process , some salt an pepper and then back cooking.
2nd skillet , the hash browns in a little bacon drippings , danced around and when done set aside. By now the cabbage has cooked down (wilted but still crunchy ) so supper is ready.
A simple but very tasty meal. Plus I can't get anywhere near the kitchen without my helper there super-visioning everything , after all he ( Pups) is my official taster and critic.
