Some societies have their special ladies; we have ours. I hereby christen Jean Spangenberg as "Our Lady of the Dutch Oven". This is only an honorary title, and should she not choose to accept it, we can dingle up another moniker for her.

She sent me this URL for them as likes their munchies on the spicey side. http://www.tabasco.com/taste_tent/menu_ ... _ideas.cfm

Enjoy. This stuff is so good that even gritz gobblers will like it.

Down here in the Good Ole south we would never think of having anything without some TABASCO Or LOUISIANA Hot Sauce on it.

Some of us even make our own sauce from the pepper plants we have. Makes you glow just like that little smilie face.

Dutch Ovens

Howdy Jack,

I don't know about that title business. I'm sure there are some in this group that have more experience than I do with DO's.

I did give the DO Society a tip that I will pass along to other fans of Dutch Ovens:

Use oven roasting bags in the Dutch Oven when clean up is going to be a hassle, when you need to cook more than one item in a single DO or you don't want to have to clean the pan before you cook in it again say for dessert after dinner. You can lift the oven roasting bag right out of the Dutch Oven and pop another item back in with ease.
