Tuesday the 16 we left headed for Rice Tx and the Casita plant to have a sewer valve replaced. Spent the night in the campground in Corsicana so we could be there bright and early the next morning.

wed 17 Casita got us fixed up and on the road around 2 pm. Stayed in a private camp ground 60 miles west of Shreveport. The egg got tested out that night and the next morning ,high winds and heavy rain. Love the camper and was sure glad I wasnt in my old pop up worrying about leaks and wet canvas.

Thur 18 Rain was still falling so decided to spend another night and do some exploring for future trips and kay possibilities. Drove around Lake of the Pines and Lake Caddo . I need to come back and spend a few day fishing and paddling these two Lakes.

Fri 19 Loaded up and got an early start ,drove through Louisiana and on into Jackson Miss . I picked up the Natchez Trace there and headed north. Camped that night in the first campground on the Trace and the only one with full hookups,it was located right on a river bank and would sure be a great camping paddling spot. While at this camp ground I met a couple pedaling a tandem bike pulling a trailer . They left Baton rouge headed for A town in upper Ill. Those have to be some tough folks. They said 50 miles a day was the norm.

Sat 20 drove the Trace on into Franklin Tenn to my sil house.

Sunday 21 thru Sat 27 we ate ,visited ,ate slept, ate went fishing on the Harpes river ate ,you get the picture this guy likes to cook. We also went fishing on the Buffalo River ,not to good on the fishing both rivers were up and muddy. Yak sure has to come next time.

Sunday 28 Headed for Memphus
spent the night 30 miles east of Memphus

Monday 29
Stayed in a State park just North of Jackson Miss . Very nice place

Tuesday 30
Shreveport ,had to drop a few dollars at the casinos

Wed got home around 4 pm

What are you towing it with?
You might want to get a senior pass for the national parks , it gives a good discount to all national parks providing you are 65 or older. If you have not made it then keep it in mind for when you do get to 65.

On the next trip I will put my rack on the pickup and be able to haul the yak and pull the trailer.

I wish I wasnt but I have one of those senior passes, and being 100 percent service connected disabled gives me some more discounts.
Traveling is cheaper when you an old beat up geezer.
I have a Dodge 1500 I tow with.
The trailer is pretty light , 2450 lbs dry.
