Remove ply from bottom and fill with a wood flour plug

Silicon a piece of PVC pipe in place

I had a rig that clamped to the gunnel of a canoe. I found two things. Having it toward the front is smarter than having the Xducer at the rear. It's better to know what's coming than what you've already run over.

Also, it wants to lie flat. Otherwise, you get a skewed view of the bottom.
