Bears, I was considering a Mouseboat as well. It just looks like the sides aren't very tall at all. How is it in the water as far as water getting in?

Hmm.. I'll probably have to scrap the pirogue idea for a while. Maybe I can build a small row boat of some sort. Thanks for the help. I'd rather find out it isn't going to work before I actually get the wood and build it all only to find I have about .5" of freeboard.
