    Lookin' good, Joey! I've been thinking throughout this build how easy it would be to punch a hole in that thin aluminum. I wonder if adding an inside layer of aluminum on the sides would be a good idea? I know it could hold moisture and cause rot problems, but sinking because of a hole would...

    Another thought would be to use silicon aquarium sealant between the aluminum and wood. It should bond with both. Mike

    Do an experiment on some scrap. Clean the aluminum, then rough it up with some coarse sand paper. The roughness gives the epoxy something to grip. May or may not work, but it is worth trying on some scrap. I have everything here except the epoxy, or I'd try it myself.... Mike
