I've tried the saline spray but that doesn't do anything for me. I think it's the volume of saline that goes through and washes all the pollen out that makes the netti pot so effective. One of my coworkers has an attachment for his water pick (tooth brush thing) so you get pulsating force with...
Re:
I swear by these things. One of the only things that helps me with sinus problems. If I've been out in the workshop sanding or something I always wash out the sinuses with my netti pot.
The recipe is 1/4 tsp kosher salt (do not use regular table salt it BURNS!!) and 1/4 tsp baking soda...
That's a good idea. I wrapped and glued some rope around the ends the other day but I haven't tried it yet to see if it works. If it doesn't then Joey's design tried next.
Man! That is one of the prettiest boats I've ever seen! I want to do something like that and will be thrilled if it turns out even half as nice as yours. Awesome job!
Maybe I missed it somewhere in the thread but is this boat from a different plan than a regular Freedom? I checked Jems and...
I made a prototype double paddle to see how I liked the double blades and if so to help determine the length. It was cheap and it works extremely well except not having a drip ring is about to drown me. I used a closet pole (I shaped it a little) and some scrap luan plywood from the pirogue...
I was just telling my dad that on Sunday. I have some prototype paddles I built and one of the blades was broken when my pirogue almost fell out the back of the truck. Before this project I would have tossed it but I repaired to a like new state using my new found fiber glassing skills! :D
I was trying to match the color of my boat but they turned out a bit darker. I've never been good at matching colors. Anyway, nothing you haven't seen before...just wanted to share.
I think that if there were fillets under the rub rails and the rub rails had a good radius maybe it would be easier to have it lying over the rub rail instead of cutting it short like I did. As far as the ends go you can see how I cut it to run parallel to the stems then I went back and put...
Having done this only once I tried to do what I *think* you're talking about. I tried to do the bottom with one piece with excess past the gunwales. I have rub rails which pushed the fabric off the sides to about 1.5" to 2" from the rub rails. I was able to get it much closer to the bottom of...
Looks great! I love that color scheme and it is exactly what I wanted to do on mine but I messed up and attached the sides to the stems where the "good" side of the plywood was on the outside instead of the inside.
You're going to love that boat!
I didn't realize y'all cared so much! Maybe you didn't see that tire around my waist underneath my shirt. I do wear mine in bigger water but haven't been in the pond because it's small and shallow. Ok, if I'm knocked out somehow I guess it really would matter how shallow the pond is. Point...
I think you might be able to tell by the looks on their faces that my daughter is not as crazy about it as my son. She likes it for a little while then she's done.
I finally got some pictures of the pirogue out on the water. This is in the pond behind our house. The kids love the boat but my son wants to know why we don't have a motor on it.
