    A little late here, but next time try this: prep-coat your hatch with Vaseline or beeswax as a release agent...no wrinkles like from the plastic film wrap.

    Call me the dead-thread resurrector! Anyway...not much experience building boats, but some with both wood panels and fibreglass. I can see pre-assembly epoxy coating to give a good adhesion substrate for later glassing, and possibly glassing ONE side of the side panels, but not both. Interested...

    What knife do you carry on or with you?

    Yup, design copy of the original USMC fighting knife (K-Bar). The older set between brother Jim & I are a 'true' K-Bar and a Camillus, both USMC. I have an old WWI 'medical corps bolo' for which I'd love to find a sheath.
