This is interesting and thought provoking!

Mike, I know Turkey is a member of NATO. which is a joke in and of itself. Turkey is no friend to Europe or their allies. Turkey, with her ever increasing belligerence in the region, along with the Saudies and there direct support of IS in Syria and Iraq is a problem. If Turkey invades Syria and...

This is interesting and thought provoking!

Thanks guys, I have heard rumours that the US and Saudi Arabia might be tempted to declare war on Syria and Turkey, I was wondering if this might be a backdoor way for Obama to postpone the election. Back to Trump, if the GOP can somehow NOT endorse Trump now, I think the GOP will be decimated...

This is interesting and thought provoking!

Chuck, That is a very insightful piece. Mr Root needs to be commended for his courage in writing it. Everything he has written in it seems to me to ring true and what I find frightening is the lack of comments here about it. Read into that what ever you will. As very much an outsider looking...

Very Light - Very Expensive Canoes

Five grand for a factory canoe ? heck, I would be too scared to put it in the water! As Jack said, with a little care and patience a similar boat could built for less than a thousand bucks and only be around 10 pounds heavier. That leave around 4k for important stuff like beer.

    New toy and first blood.

Thanks Ron. G'day Mike, Not sure about the legalities of such a bow here but I am certain that out leftard politicians here (even the so called conservatives here are leftards now) will find a way to outlaw it.

    Canoe Carts

Guys, I just found this thread. I had a supposedly heavy duty cart to wheel my bayou skiff from our camp to the put in At Stanage Bay last year. *(about 600 yards over hard gravel) Not a difficult ask in my opinion. Boat, 3.5hp motor, oars and fishing gear with an all up weight of about 55...
