Peanuts are in again, should be for a month or so, maybe longer. I like the big, fat ones, purchased "green".
Folks here are boiling them in the CrockPot now. Easy, not fast, but still just as good.
So, last night I filled the crock pot with fat, fresh peanuts, then salt and some Zatarains crab and shrimp boil and hot water to the top. I set it on High for four hours, then on Lo and went to bed. Woke up to a pot of PERFECT boiled peanuts. Breakfast of champions.
