The Ohio River Way's 2010 Paddlefest is history. Approximately 2000 people on the water for an 8.2 mile paddle from a local amusement park to Sawyer Point, in downtown Cincinnati. My sons and I volunteered setting up the finish line, so no personal pictures. We also missed the launch, so paddled the Little Miami that afternoon.

We did watch the racers come in. Saw a 10-15 Kevlar canoes and kayaks, plus a Pygmy Osprey, a couple of strip-built yaks, and an Ally folder.

Launch area - people tell me it was like this from 8 - 9:45.

On the river there was more room. The river was closed to commercial traffic. Volunteers in canoes and Cincinnati's chapter of the Powerboat Squadron served as water marshals.

Yeatman's Cove. Under the bridge at the extreme left is a 200 yd stretch of gentle ramp that served as a landing zone. The exhibits and events were on the tree-lined plaza above.
