any one ever used this kind of paint?> looking at the pirogue green for the outside, and am really wanting to go with a clear coat for the inside. dont want to spend the money on "epoxy" for this job but do want the inside to have a clear coat to show off the wood.

does anyone have any experience with this marine spar varnish? i have heard not to use the minwax brand from local home supply stores. this seems to be the best varnish i can find for marine applications.

Doesn't look like anyone is 'fessing up to it.
Its marine paint. Follow the directions and give us a full report on it.
Then next year tell us how its holding up.

friend Keith and i have used the paint on plywood boats

it goes on easy, covers well and is cheap (relatively)

for wear and looks, it can't compare to the more expensive enamels like interlux

never tried their varnish

thanks guys. ive ordered the pirouge green and will report back with my results. since this is my first boat i think it will be sufficient. this boat is more of a utility boat anyway. ive already got plans on another, and since the boat building process went alot smother than i thought, ill be going all out on the next with epoxy and plan on leaving the whole thing clear to show off the wood grain.

thanks guys.
