Fiberglass cloth cost.

I'm not quite there yet on my build, but it's about time I get some fiberglass cloth ordered. I got my first batch of epoxy at West Marine. A quick look on the internet shows West's fg cloth to be on the order of 3x the cost of any other cloth supplier (~$150 vs. ~$50). Am I not reading something right? Is West that proud of thier product? Is it that much better?

I found Infinity Composite to be the cheapest (compared with Raka and US Composites), but only by a few bucks. I didn't compare shipping costs.

Oh yeah, the price points: 6oz., 10 yds, 50" wide.

I like Raka but they are just down state from me and I get the stuff the next day.

have you tried jamestown or hailton marine?

I'd also look for someone who would send it to me rolled up instead of folded

sorry i can't spell very well - it's hamilton marine

last time i looked the 50" stuff was running ~$6/yd which is ballpark to your numbers

don't know why west marine is so much more

Also check with Thayercraft Inc. They are in North Carolina and have more choices than what you will know what to do with!!
