Slow Cooker Hot Fudge Sundae Cake
Cake:
1 cup all purpose flour
½ cup granulated sugar
2 Tbsp baking cocoa
2 tsp baking POWDER
½ tsp salt
½ cup milk
2 Tbsp vegetable oil (extra virgin olive oil)
1 tsp vanilla
½ cup chopped nuts
Sauce:
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup baking cocoa
1 ½ cups hot water

1. Spray inside of crockpot with cooking spray. Mix flour, granulated sugar, 2 Tbsp cocoa, baking POWDER, and salt in bowl. Stir in milk, oil, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in nuts. Spread batter evenly in slow cooker.
2. Mix brown sugar & 1/4 cup cocoa in a small bowl. Stir in hot water until smooth. Pour evenly over batter in slow cooker.
3. Cover and cook on HIGH 2 - 2 ½ hours, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
4. Turn off cooker. Let cake stand uncovered 30-40 minutes to cool slightly before serving. Spoon warm cake into desert dishes. Spoon sauce over top.

When I was a little boy, Mom used to bake a version of this in the oven. JARVIS good eatin'!

here's the oven

And......here's a pic of Jack's old oven. Brings back so many happy memories.....sitting on a stump while dinner was cooking.

I retired this one when I bought the folding version of a stone oven. It unfolds to about 2/3 the size of the one in the picture. Weighs about 750 pounds, and goes into a shirt pocket.
