Gauley River rapids video tour

Heres a neat site that I got from the TVCC people, it is of the Gauley River in West Virgina. It has a map of the river, to the left side you can click on what rapid you want, shows the location on the map, description of the rapid, what lines to run and dangers to look out for. Also has a video clip of rafts & kayaks running that rapid with narration. Very well put together site.

I've done that river in early October when they let the river run almost wide open from the dam. Good times.

Nice. I used ta wish fer somethin' like that on the Ocoee, Colorado, Section III Chattooga 'n the French Broad. Now I reckon if I looked at a video, I'd fergit the lines before I got ta the rapid. :cry: Swamprat coulda used a site like that on the Chattooga last year. These days relyin' on my memory jest dont make no sense. Mebbe if we took a laptop? :roll:

Do ya remember the Iron Ring Matt? 1 1/2 miles of rapids......great ride. Beautiful country. Almost identical to the Smokies,,,,,
