After more than three years, I finally earned my private pilot's license Friday. It's been a long road for the world's slowest student pilot. Now, I can start to take some short trips, then longer ones, etc. The ruptured Duck and I will ply the sky.

Well, thanks, guys. It's a basic trainer, about as simple as they get. I'll not be in any large cargo birds (trash haulers as we call them in the Air Force). I've got my hands full learning this simple bird.

Actually, pretty close, Bob. I had a beer about a foot tall, and then the seegar. My Son took me out to dinner that evening.
Thanks, guys. I missed a good day to fly today, but went paddling instead. Will fly tomorrow to take the Duck in for some maintenance.
A good thing about flying, is sharing it. Yesterday I took my Son up for a ride on a clear autumn day. Much of the fall color is gone, but enough remains to be really pretty from the air.
A blonde is on board a small two-seater airplane when suddenly the pilot dies. Not knowing how to fly a plane she grabs the radio.
