A couple of months ago I bought some powdered eggs from AdventureFoods.com. At the time, Jean commented that "These are really good eggs. They could be served at home or to company." She's right.
Today we had a carry-in breakfast at the office. I brought in scrambled eggs & bacon. Actually, I brought in my Coleman single burner camp stove, a 5 quart pot, steamer basket, and a plastic bag with about nine eggs worth of egg-powder in. I added the water & cranked it up. I steamed the eggs in a bag. In the meantime I simply opened a pack of pre-fried bacon slices & chunked them up.
When done, I emptied the eggs into the pan lid (frying pan combination dealie) and lightly seasoned them with a mix of garlic/ onion/ oregano/ rosemary/ etc. I placed the bacon chunks over on one side of the pan.
Several people have stopped me and complimented the eggs. "Were those REALLY powdered eggs!!??"
"Yep."
"They COULDN'T have been - they were really good."
