matching color of plywood

How do you get the color of the seams to match your wood as well as most of you do

Hi Ron,

Good question mate. I don't know and have given up trying. Whatever colour the wood flour is, is what I use.

trial and error but its tough to get just right.

I personally like darker seams. Gives the boat a "defined", crisp look.

If you are cutting your own wood then use the sawdust as the wood flour. It needs to be sifted to remove any large chunks and the finer you get it the better.

I like to collect the dust from sanding that is trapped in the bag on the sander. It will be a shade darker when mixed with the wood flour but some of the glass bubbles mixed in with it will mute it down.
