Actually, youngster, we used to reach up and haul down lightning from the clouds every few days. Kept it in a root celllar, we did. Took out a little extry on Sundays to cook dinner with.
Radios were just tin foil in our teeth. Had to keep turning a bit left or right as the signals would waver some, now and then.
