I took a hike in the mountains above Laughlin Nevada a few days ago and took these pictures. The petraglyphs cover both sides of the entrance of a canyon. These people spent a lot of time doing all of this art a long time ago.

Nice Terry.....thanks. Too bad there aint a river runnin' jest below them rocks. It would make a swell lunch spot...pull off ta eat 'n read a few rocks. That second one looks like pichurs of a homemade boat. :wink:

Lotsa theories as to why they left. One fact is, they didn't leave. there are five tribes today that were once the groups we now call Anasazi. Names that come to mind of those five are Hopi and Mogollon. (Actually, "Anasazi" is a Navajo word for them that isn't complimentary.)
