Not a long trip but...

Well my son Josh and I decided to take a spur-of -the-moment paddling trip in the loner Sea Wind I have.

Good thing the Sea Wind can handle a load, because the boy was about 80 pounds worth!

That is one sweet paddling boat by the way. Even with a wiggle-worm 10 year old boy in the back.

And you can also catch a fish or 2 out of it. They weren't whoppers, but we caught (and released) a bunch:

PERFECT! Katie & I took the Katie Bug out today too. She didn't fish; she swam. We saw three Sand Hill Cranes, and two Swans with 4-5 cygnets.

What swell trips! I figger when ya plant a good memory like that in a little pardner, they will likely come back later ta see if it iz az much fun az they recall.....soon az they git past the loco years [teenager]. :wink:

I reckon nobody ever took them politikle folks campin', fishin', paddlin'......sigh.
