THis recipe is from "The Hill" the Italian section of
St. Louis,Missouri. Old Fashioned?? Not sure why..probably because it has been made on the "Hill" for years and some of the bakeries sell them by the slice. Here it is. Kahuna
OLD FASHIONED CHEESE CAKE (form "The Hill")
1-8 count can crescent rolls
1-cup sour cream
24 ounce cream cheese softened
1-1/3 cups sugar(may add a little more if you like it sweeter)
5-eggs beaten
1-teaspoon vanilla
Cinnamon to taste(optional)
1/4-1/2 cup raisins(optional)
Spread crescent rolls into a 9x13 inch baking pan,
sealing perforations. Cream together sour cream,cream
cheese,eggs,sugar & vanilla beating well. Pour over
crescent rolls. Sprinkle with cinnamon & raisins.
Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes. Chill befor serving.
