Here is a site run by one of the guys in our local canoe/kayak club.
Has paddling routes and stuff from all over the world.
Lots from Florida, cuz that is where he is based.
And you can submit routes to help build the data base. (Be the first to get one from Oz.)

Good site. I got a chuckle at hiz Nantahala tale. Fer wildlife he listed "rafts". :wink:

Hiz red line thru the falls iz backwards, ya enter left/center 'n cut "right" (ta ride the tongue), not "left" like in hiz pichur....'er ya kin start way over on river right 'n kiss off that big rock at the top of the final drops. Dead center iz a drop down inta keeper hole....but it didnt keep Swamprat long at all. :mrgreen: I guess it dont matter too much in a raft, but if ya tried ta run hiz red line in a canoe.....well, no good would come of it. :wink:

I see he run it in July, 2000. Been a change since then. Ta give the raft folks a bigger thrill (make more dough) Payson 'n the other raft biznesses made Duke Power a offer they caint refuse............release a bit more water frum the powerhouse. It iz a tad more fun fer rafts, but harder on the open boaters.
