Anybody have a source for a rheostat that you mount to the side of a small boat used for the trolling motor? This is used in connection with foot controls for a small pond boat. Know there is a digital one, more expensive and a regular one, just don't know where to purchase one. Thanks, this is a great site, glad I stumbled across it.

Don't know of a source, but have seen them available as a motor package on Creek Boats. Check them out at www.creekboats.com under motors and possibly could contact the manufacturer.

Look for a PWM speed/temp controller. Works different from a rheostat/resistor and doesn't eat electricity through voltage loss from the heat.
