Don't think it is carbon fiber Jack. More like a course thread woven roving fiberglass. If it is carbon fiber I didn't get a good deal. I stole it! :-)

LOL, yeah, I never said it was PRETTY! The seat is fiberglass as well but it will be coming out shortly and be replaced with a standard web seat. The dimensions are really pretty close to the hornbeck pack canoes but I'm sure this one is a cheap knock off, made by somebody somewhere

Now that I have my picture host figured out I figured I'd get a little practice posting :-) All taken up around Leesburg last weekend except the sunset and that was at wiggins pass state park.

Not sure how Matts plans are set up but on the couple of canoes I have built you did the butt joints before cutting out the pieces(flat panels) and then when stitched up the joints were staggered a bit. But its looking good Mick!

Which boat, LONG and lots of pics....

I had a little 14' daysailor Jack and the problem I ran into down in the islands is just not enough water! In order to really sail, one needs to be able to drop the keel or centerboard and unless your on the outside, or in a channel. The islands are pretty shallow. Not to mention navigating in...
