Yes, to all three. The boat is hard chined. The chine logs must be beveled to 19 degrees, transom to 15 degrees, stem and bow sides to eight degrees.

I'm building a hard chinned boat. Do you have any advice for cutting bevels with a Skil saw only? Maybe a jig of some kind?

What do you guys do to insure that the sides or other panels match exactly? It seems no matter how carefully I cut something. They never match up.

Well, this boat is going to be a hard chined boat, e.g., a box boat, jon boat. I'd like to put the hard chine on the exterior, but I see your point about doing twice as much work for half the effectiveness.

I was thinking wouldn't it be easier to glass and epoxy the plywood first then cut afterward? That way everything has epoxy and fiberglass on it.

Why not just glass the entire sheet of plywood or pieces before nailing everything together?

Yeah, this leads me to ask can you laminate 5.2 mm Lauan plywood to serve as gunnels?
