i had this pain now for about two to three weeks in the groin. well i went to the doc today to get his answer. i was fearng of cancer but he told me i had a hernia. :? :( this aint good either but i guess it could have been alot worse. i,m 47 yrs old & i thought i was too young to have this.

i told him i would think about it & give him a date. i guess we never know what life is sending us. i guess this will change my life style some & will get me thinking when i have to lift or move something. i have been a millwright & forklift mechanic about all my life & guess it finally caught up with me or i picked up or pulled on something & i don,t remember.

i guess bad as i hate it the only thing i can think of positive is i guess i will get some vacation time.

Re: catfish

We can rust out or we can wear out. As we wear out, we have to pay more attention to such things as a periodic maintenance schedule, locations of zerks, adjsutment of tie rod ends, vitamins, and changing filters, etc. I plan to start slowing down soon too, maybe tonight.

went to a second doc today & the one that will do the surgery. he comfirmed it is a hernia. he said it may not be until the first week in august before he will operate. :? i was hoping for a quicker date. it hurts the worse when i walk or stand alot .

he said i could do some normal activities right now. i don,t know about pulling on my boat motor but i guess it want hurt to hold a pole. i suppose i can take the wife & atleast bait her hook & let her catchup on her fishing. i guess we can fish from the hill side. :D

Catfish , hernias aren't fun , I've had one for over 30 years but mine only gives me grief now and then and I have a great aversion to being cut on so I'd not bothered to get it fixed in the past ,but now it's been acting up a fair bit over the last few years and I've been waiting over two years for a appointment to see the specialist for it through the public health system ,

i didn't get the actual bill today but got a sneak preview of the cost of my little hernia. it didn,t even include the kind doc that put me to sleep.i,m glad it wasn,t no bigger.

went to the doc today & he said i had two more weeks of easy street. he said i could start doing some things so maybe i can fish some. wanabee i might can even get a little paddling in. might have to get better half to load & unload canoe. i might even can get her to pull on the rope.

Friend Catfish, I'd come along to help load/unload a boat, and kill your chances of having to haul in any large fish. With me along - no one catches anything except a cold.

I hope you heal well, and get no more complications. Enjoy your day.
