I got the first side of my butt joint on the sides tonight! I tacked the sections in place, soaked the raw wood, then put a piece of 10 by 10 inch glass over the joint. I used 2.5 oz. super tight weave, (looks like silk cloth). Plastic under and over, a board, then a cement block. Morning will see the result! Rounded out the ribs for a pleasant look. Hopefully I can do a safe flip in the morning and glass up the inside before my class starts. Kids are gonna have to share the tables with me in the morning. Hope all will be setup by afternoon and I can get onto the scarf joints on the bottom piece tomorrow evening.

I kinda jumped threads and found myself at the same point as 'flippen your sides'. My flip came out just fine with a few wrinkles from the plastic top sheet. Thanks for the tool hint, (other thread)! Continuing on with the smile on my face. Kids helped me move the sides this morning, nothin like an extra dozen helpers to move the fresh sides for the day!
