Welcome Capt. Ben! I am no expert, but was told Titebond III was good, Lowes should have it. Post lots of pics of your build, I love seeing new ways of doing things. :D

Thanks for the quick response, I thinned it 50% with Epifanes thinner. The garage is heated to 72 degrees at 25% humidity. Epifanes told me not to thin it at all, that is only for bare wood. Is this stuff for the Pros? Is there something more user friendly for someone that has never varnished...

Well this is frustrating, I got her all glassed. Let it set for 17 days. Sanded and wiped down with acetone, put on a coat of Epifanes high gloss, and it won't dry! I called Epifanes costumer service, and they said I should of used water first to remove the amine blush, then sanded or better wet...

I have started the Bayou Skiff....

What does that do to the rocker, and the side flare angle?

The Bayou Skiff is 14' long, 32 1/2" bottom, 43" beam.

Sounds good to me, I'll just let the old pro figure it out, and then I'll just follow suite.

The Bayou Skiff is 14' long, 32 1/2" bottom, 43" beam.

As soon as the kit is available (I don't have a table saw) I am going to build one of these. Not that i know anything, but are the bottom runners necessary? I am thinking a flat bottom would be nice on this. I am also thinking of a offset notch for a scull oar, any thoughts on this?

It's getting closer to time to glass. Well, I am still confused about a few things. Since the inside is the hardest I am going to do it first. I plan on glassing the whole boat, OK ,questions.... 1. If I epoxy saturate the whole boat, do i brush that on or use a spreader? What grit...

Man, give a newbie a break. I'm the kind of guy that has spent two hours looking for the wrench in his back pocket, gotta keep a little organized or I'd forget what i was even working on! There is now officially a shortage of clamps in the immediate area
