    Port Arthur Massacre.

Mick and David, Men, there is something decidedly weird about the Port Arther massacre. I am not a consipirisist, I think what you see, is the true story 99% of the time. But, it appears, that even the internet information is being manipulated, today! I am finding more obscure websites...

    chinese air rifle.

In the book Children of the Flames, Auschwitz survivor Menashe Lorinczi recounts what happened when the Soviet army liberated the camp: the Russians disarmed the SS guards. Then, two emaciated Jewish inmates, now armed with guns taken from the SS, systematically exacted their revenge on a large...

Supreme Court rules gun ownership an individual right

After invading, Nazis used pre-war lists of gun owners to confiscate firearms and many gun owners simply disappeared. Following confiscation, the Nazis were free to wreak their evil on the disarmed populace, such as on these helpless Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto. "The Berlin Police President...

Supreme Court rules gun ownership an individual right

You're right, of course, Jack. One does not have to be a Christian (Muslim, Buddist, Jain, Taoist, ETC, ad infinitum), to be a moral person. It just seems to me that in this culture, Christianity has been the major player in the teaching of morality. Although it is , Obviously possible to teach...

Seedtick, Although, I am please you and Keith survived, and y'all have resigned yourselves to what can be saved and what is lost(It took me 40 years to reach that point!). But that last picture makes me laugh, inappropriatly, I guess. About 40 years ago, I was having lunch in a semi outdoor...

Things can get damned interesting in a hurry on big water. I have a tale to tell, but it can rest for now. I thank God y'all are still breathing air, and I hope you can recover all your equipment. Good luck!

Supreme Court rules gun ownership an individual right

I, for one, have been bewildered by, why this had to go to the Supreme Court, when the right to bear arms, is in black and white, written in fourth grade ENGLISH, in the Constitution! By some of the brightest minds the world has ever known! Men who KNEW what governmental oppession was, first...

    chinese air rifle.

Mick, I have seen the heart breaking documentary of the Austalians losing their guns several times, but until I read your post this morning, I thought it had been a gradual shift in liberal public opinion. The documentary was pro gun propaganda, so I guess it wasn't wise to include the fact...

    chinese air rifle.

I guess it's a sign of the decline of America, when I was in high school in western Oklahoma, we had a "Western Day". (Which as an aside, tickles me, and frustrates me. What is known as the "Wild West" existed for only about 25-30 years after the Civil War. And the media and drugstore cowboys...

    turkey hunting

I had a brother-in-law who was totally worthless. He wouldn't work, and wrecked cars while drunk regularly. He was good at two things, playing pool while drunk, and the Remington 700 in .270 Winchester. If he could see it, he could hit it. I went hunting with him twice a year or so for as long...

    chinese air rifle.

Tom, Thanks a lot for your thoughtful, cogent, and obviously knowledgable post.I appreciate the time and effort you put into it. I have never had any problem with the velocity, or the accuracy of any of these guns. The only problem I ever had, was the sorry sights. Once I put a scope on them...

    chinese air rifle.

Jimmy, I believe that's the one. If it is, I am surprised at the pellet speed. I was thinking it was around 1000 fps. At about 30 yards, the pellet will go entirely though a red squirrel from tail to ear. and it ricochets as badly as a .22 long. 25 bucks! Highway robbery! :D Jim

Ron, The first three I bought at "Specialty Metal" in Oklahoma City. The store didn't sell them, but a guy that worked there. I don't recall his name. The fourth I bought new in the box at a flea market, in Oklahoma but I don't remember where. The one I have now, I bought at Cummins...

    chinese air rifle.

Friend Bearridge, This is a spring/air single cocker. And it has noticable recoil, although it's very heavy. The "bolt" is the size of, and has the appearence of, a 12 guage auto bolt. The "chamber" projects into the Reciever about 3/8 inch, and has about 1/4 inch all around it. Plenty of...

    chinese air rifle.

I've got a Chinese air rifle, it's my fifth one(I keep giving them away). The sights on all of them have been bad, so I usually mount a two power scope, and they are good out to 30-35 yards, at least in my hands, they are effective a LOT farther out,in the hands of a good shooter. Well, this...

    Bad fillet repair.

I probably have the hardware, and technical ability to put pictures on the internet, but I don't have the knowledge. (That's really sad, because the other day, in a Dollar store, there was a digital camera, the connecting cable, and the software for around five dollars. Meant for small children...

    Bad fillet repair.

This may be an empty recommendation, because I have not seen a detail chisel for sale anywhere for probably twenty years. I had some very nasty fillets on my pirogue, because my compound was setting up faster than I could lay it in. I couldn't get a sander in on them, so I thought I was...

    Glass tape.

Chuck, Bald cypress. Thanks a lot. I did wonder if a bias cut tape tape would work better, but taping the edge down never occured to me. I have so much glass and epoxy on this craft, that I might be able to drive over it with my truck, but it ain't gonna leak! The taping ploy would ensure an...

    Glass tape.

Since I had so many wrinkles on the seams of my pirogue, I decided to just sand them off, and tape the seam. I bought some six inch tape from Raka. It was six ounce, because Larry had an odd roll that he was willing to sell cheap. What the heck do you with the threads on the edges? I tried...
