I had a pile of tubing and angle at 12 noon

Before long it was cut up and tacked up like this

Welded the top out and flipped her over

Good job, Ron. I can tell you're a steel man and this ain't your first rodeo.

One thing I was wondering about. Why the top of the camper first and then the frame?

I did the box first ,because I was just winging it on the design, I knew I could build the trailer to fit.
Bear ,yea I handled all the iron by myself,I am the chief and just an indian all in one. The pups are just my scouts.
Ron
Ps I now I am not use to working this hard, had a few stiff moments this morning. Lets see how many of you have to sit on your hands to keep from running with that last statement.

Got the trailer frame bottom painted then flipped it and did the top

IM002265.jpg

Got the bottom of the box covered in undercoating and set the block so I could roll the trailer under it and set her down.

IM002263.jpg

Pick up the tires and wheels tomorrow and the back to work on her.

Very carefully

After wheels are installed I will roll it under the box ,then take a small hydrolic jack to raise it take out the block on the front and lower it down to the frame, then the same process for the rear.

These are the days that are little milestones. Drove 30 miles to HB to get wheel, tires and a hitch.
I came home installed the tires did a little jacking around and here is what happened

IM002275.jpg

I was very happy with the fit on the frame and overall height.
Got my mattress inside ,now I have a bed in my doghouse.

IM002277.jpg

I measured the jeep and the frame and it is going to be a good fit on the height of the hitch

It is starting to look like a trailer.
Ron
PS I found out I have some competion ,I left the door open came back in a few minutes ,my black lab was laying up on the bed ,I think he thinks I am building him a dog house.

This has been a good and bad day ,it rained all day so I didnt get anything done to the tepee, but with the hard driving rain and blowing wind and the tepee sitting out in the weather she got a good leak test and passed with flying colors.

I stopped working on her for a few days but I will probably start back this weekend.
When I was laying on the sand bar in that tent wind whipping I sure was thinking about the Tepee.
